Photographs of the Purcell family of Park Place (now Oregon City), Or., circa 1905-1930. Many of the photographs document the lives of Otto Purcell (1891-1974) and his sister, Myrtle Purcell Hansell (b. 1888) and include photographs of schools that the two attended, including the Park Place School and Albany College; schools at which Otto Purcell taught, including the Parkdale School in Hood River County, Or.; and photographs taken and collected by Otto while he was stationed at the Presidio during World War I. The collection also includes other portraits of unidentified members of the Purcell family; photographs taken in Manila, possibly during the Philippine American War of 1899-1902; snapshots of Warren G. Harding's visit to Clackamas County circa 1921-1923; scenic views of Mount Hood and various places in the Columbia River Gorge, and photographs of ships. Other photographers include Carl R. Moline of Oregon City, Or., among other unidentified photographers.
